“Thousands laid down their lives, so that our country breath this day. Never forget their sacrifice.”

It was a red letter day in the history of India, when the country got freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery. People of our country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. So did our school celebrated our 72nd Independence Day. The function commenced with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest Mr. and Mrs. Jhawar, parents of Shub Jhawar who was the Science Topper of our school, year 2017-18.

To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. Further, the programme was started with Prayer Service seeking the blessings from the Almighty for our nation. The programme further carried on with Hindi Speech, English Speech, Declamation, Patriotic Song, Dance, Skit and Fancy Dress by the tiny toddlers. Then our Chief Guest Mr. Jhawar delivered a short speech telling the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great matyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of our country. At last the progamme was concluded by our principal Sr. Ramona, she evoked the feeling of patriotism among all the students. Happiness rolled among students when sweets were distributed.

Indeed, it was a day of joy, love and respect our country and make it a better place to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
