On 4th May, 2019, the students of class IX-XII had an opportunity to interact with one of our talented ex-Sophian, Miss Garima Sharma. She is currently working as a software developer with Amazon at Seattle, USA. She interacted and explained the students about the importance of being attentive in the class and asking questions to the teachers. She emphasized on the topic of making a well-planned schedule and focusing on the goals of life. She shared her experience of her school life and also explained the importance of school in the life of every student. She motivated the students to focus on their present and wished them luck for their future years.
Alumni Meet 2017
On 23 rd December 2017, Sophia Bhilwara Alumni Association had organized a glittering Alumni Meet. Clad in red and black, the alumni beamed with unparalleled joy and exultation while re-uniting with their Alma- mater.
The Registration began before the commencement of formal programme. Warm hugs were exchanged as the cheerful Ex Students entered the campus. They were super excited to meet their teachers after ages.
Light brings brightness and dispels darkness. It symbolizes the Divine power hence the programme began with auspicious Diya lighting ceremony. President of Alumni Association, Sister Helen, Secretary Mrs. Shalini Mathur, Ex- Teacher Mrs, Jaya Arun , Ex- Student Executive Member Mrs. Kirti Chundawat , Early Bird Miss Nupur Mathur, Previous year head girl Miss Divya Vijayvergiya and present head girl Miss Aliya Khan. This was followed by a beautiful prayer service which is an integral part of
Sophia.
Students of class xi has put a short cultural programme. Dance is the overflow of joy in our hearts. A fusion of Guajarati and Punjabi dance was very entertaining and was enjoyed by the audience.Reliving the old memories, the ex- sophians were seen rejoicing the Christmas carols sung by the school choir. A short movie on real story of Christmas Father, Saint Nikolas excited the whole gathering and ignited in them the spirit of sharing and caring.
The icing on the cake was the arrival of Santa Clause Dressed in red coat with fluffy cap and bag full of chocolates. The whole atmosphere was filled with happiness and joy. Everyone started dancing along with Santa on the beats of famous song “Jingle Bells”. They also captured the cheerful moments in cameras.
The year 2017 was special as the first pass out batch of class x students had completed 25 years. We were delighted to have with us few students and Teachers of Silver Jubilee batch. President of our Association Sister Helen presented Mementos to them on behalf of Alumni Association. They all felt honoured and happy. The outstanding alumni excelling in various fields like academics, sports, social service etc. were also honoured with a trophy and a certificate.
An interesting game was also organized in which the alumni participated whole heartedly. They tried their luck in a very innovative housie game while enjoying sips of coffee and pieces of cake. Alumni went down the memory lane recalling the wonderful times they had shared with their friends and teachers in the school. They were glad to see the development of the institution since they left the portals of their alma mater.
Sister Principal lauded the students who came to attend the event from far and near. She encouraged and motivated the students to give their best in life. She blessed and wished them good luck. She also praised and thanked the organizing team for making the whole event a memorable one. Deepa Peshwani, an executive committee member gave vote of thanks. Alumni reunion came to the end with a promise to meet again.
